Hello to all of you.  My name is Melissa Smallwood and I am the new Activity Coordinator here at RVADC.  I would like to start by telling you a little about me.  I am married, the mother of 4 children and I also have 2 beautiful grandchildren.  I have been in the healthcare field and working with a large diverse population for over 10 years.  I am also a caregiver myself.  Outside of work I love to read, write and volunteer at my youngest 2 children’s school.  In closing I would like to share one of my favorite quotes from George Washing ton Carver, “ How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong.  Because someday in your life you will have been all of these”.  I love this quote because when or if it is truly my turn to be cared for I would love for someone to take care of me just as I plan to help take care of your loved ones.  I look forward to working with and for each and every one of you and your loved ones.    Merry Christmas to you & your Family  Melissa Smallwood, Activity Coordinator
